Pop Culture

      

  As a new immigrant,when I came to the USA, I got Culture Shock. It is no doubt that USA is very different with China. For example.We have coins,such as 10 cents, 50 Cents and 100 cents.  All of them, we can see amount on the coins.However, It has penny, nickel, dime,quater and it does not write amount on the coins. I must remember all of coins. It has changed my life style,because it is  pay for different.

Museum of Contemporary Photography is focus on modern,contemporary and Chicago area artists.It is include historical record of M.C.P.  This museum is location on Michigan Avenue.In this time, I visited Art exhibition is "econornic transitons specific".I saw four different Countries people in this period. such as Chinese, American, Arab Spring and East German. I'am surprised that even though their lived in the same earth, they met totally different lives.

Food

         

        I chosen this reading is Custom-made.I remember that the article said that like Hagen-Dazs green tea ice cream,sound awful to the western palate.I am very surprised that green tea ice cream is not popular in the western because I often drink green tea in the US and I see green tea is sold in many store. In my country,green tea is very normal and popular. It is very good for health.As world citizens,I think that we do not need feel awful for green tea.

Movies

       Slumdog Millonare is not only a love movie, but also an adventure movie. This  story take place in India. I don't know about Indian culture, but I can know more and more Indian culture form this movie, such as religion, food habits and background. I learned that Indians are good at dance because all of actors are dancing together at the end of movie. On the other hand, the actors and director are excellent. They show that rich and poor are totally different in India, so some poor are living in terrible conditions. Finally, this movie is better than the other movies because Slumdog Millonare is narrated by Jamal who knows Latika his love, is watching a TV show is called "who want's to be millinare",so he attended that TV show which he needs to answer each question. Luckily, every 's question relates with Jamal's experiences at different points of his life.

Music

       

  I like pop music very much, so my favourite group is Arish. Arish which is a famous group in Japan has got a lot of award.They are my favourite actors and singers, because they have healthy image, team work and never say give up.I love a song is called Love so sweet.I Chose this song becasue I like this song's love story and relax melody. I were deeply touched by this song,Although they faced a lot of problems, the main roles never say give up. At the end, they got a good result.

Reading

   



    I pick the reading is that Home at Last. I am very interseted in the writer's experience and I can leran that everyone needs a home. The writer moved a lot of place, such as New York, Chicago, San Francisco.He wanted to find a home very much. "What is a home?" Last, the know thatHome is not only a place, but also feels comfortable in my heart. I remember that he had lived in Chinese house,the owner's father couldn't speak Enghlish, but he has been still living here as home. I realized that I was a new immigtant, but I can find a home, such as Chinatown.

           I think that I am influenced by pop culture. I like to watch live show is called Top model. It's talking about many girls and boys want to be a top model, so they should compete with each other. Although they have different reason and story, there is only one winner. It is no doubt that comperence is way of surivival in American popular culture nowadays. I agree with this idea, so I want to achieve high goals. I must learn how to do everything is the best and I show it out. For example, When I interview a new job,I would tell my boss my advantage that I am a multilingual.
